“Study on Choric Function – The Individual, the Ensemble, and the Random” | Eleni Efthymiou
What are the prerequisites for creating a dynamic theatrical ensemble? What should be the actor’s role within it, what are their responsibilities, and what freedoms do they have?
With the ultimate goal of composing a contemporary chorus, participants will train their perceptual skills, work collaboratively, and navigate the combination of musical precision and improvisational freedom. At the conclusion of the workshop, the outcome will be presented as a live improvisation-intervention, outside the rehearsal space, within the urban environment, testing the boundaries between strict pre-determined structure and the reinterpretation that space, audience, and chance can bring to theater.
Participants are required to study the text that will be sent to them via email.
