Dimitra Kouza, an actor and acting teacher, is offering a two-day workshop titled **“Acting with Mask.”**
In this workshop, participants will engage with the **character mask**, a fundamental acting tool for every performer. Through specific methodology and mask techniques (body language and observation of human behavior, physical and verbal improvisation), participants will work towards the full transformation of a character.
Topics include:
* How to shape a character step by step
* Practicing gestures
* Expressing emotions without text, using only the body
* Moving naturally on stage without awkwardness
* Training in human observation
* Improvisation techniques
Using the mask methodology, the workshop explores the creation of a character from scratch: its physical behavior, voice, gestures, emotional world, and interaction with other characters. The actor brings their thought, body, imagination, and expressive tools, gradually discovering the character, aiming to combine technical skill with the organic flow of the moment and spontaneity, to create a character with authentic stage presence.
